Ainsworth Crank
Ainsworth has introduced a new concept of ergonomic design into their whitewater, touring and professional range of paddles.
The new crank can be incorporated with Ainsworth paddles that are built with either composite or titanium alloy shafts. At an additional cost of £25 per paddle this is a significant development in paddle design that will bring sophisticated structures to a mass market.
The oval shaping of the new grip contributes to a more positive feel - whilst reducing stress on vulnerable areas in the forearm and wrist. Along with a gentle bent shaft, an elastomeric foam grip moulds to the hand providing a stable base on which to pull on.
Werner Paddles 4-piece blade options
Werner Paddles now offers blade options on their current 4-piece Premium whitewater paddle. This includes the blade design of the Side Kick, Player, Twist, Powerhouse, and Sherpa (fiberglass blades only).
A 4-piece allows for quick breakdown for traveling and easy packing. This feature allows for paddles to fit easily inside boats or luggage. They are also the perfect break down paddle for back up and safety.
The blades are the same advanced designs that they use on their 1-piece paddles and offer performance and durability with the quality that Werner Paddles have earned.
A new range of Ainsworth paddles
Ainsworth have broken new ground in paddle development. A new nylon/composite material that yields 260 Mpa tensile strength. That’s over double the strength of nylon 12.
The blade is much stiffer than any other nylon paddles and the shaft is pressed into the blades with hydraulic pressure to a depth of 10cm, ensuring a watertight joint and a continuous feel from shaft to blade tip.
There are four new models in this range and all have unique blade design features…
1. A dihedral blade with spooned outer flanks, gives an amazingly positive feel to the blades. They are absolutely stable in the water when rolling or sculling which is normally very hard to achieve with thin blades.
2. The generous drain angle, not only sheds water quickly but also offers the blade up to the surface of the water at less of an angle and so support strokes are much easier.
3. The high strength of the material means that the blade can be made lighter, and the standard whitewater paddle weighs in at only 1200g. The Sea Tour, with a composite shaft, is even lighter at 1050g.
If all this were not enough, prices start at £45 with a host of shaft variations to fine tune the paddle to your specific needs.

Ainsworth K100 kayak paddle
The Ainsworth name is synonymous with state-of-the-art tooling, manufacturing and competitive pricing on top-grade paddles. The K100 is a slalom type 'All Round Paddle' which allows confident and stable paddling on all types of water conditions. The thick blades on the K100 makes them floaty and gives an easy support stroke.
Dihedral slalom blades are molded directly to a magnesium-alloy shaft, preserving the paddle's integrity and performance. Polyurethane Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) blades are exceptionally light, reducing swing weight without compromising hydrodynamic design. Shaft with ovalised indexing is pre-formed right through to the end. The grip is made of foamed PVC placed over the alloy shafts, which gives a nice warm feel to the shaft.
- Magnesium-alloy shaft
- Reaction Injection Molded (RIM) blade
- 40-degree feather
- 197.5, 200, 202, 205 or 220 cm.
- 2.75 lb (200 cm)

Gremlin symetric junior paddle
If you put full-size paddles in a youngsters’ hands, they will soon get tired by just simply holding them. To compensate for this, Lendal gives you the Gremlin, a complete paddle designed specially for small hands. The Gremlin has smaller diameter shafts and is lighter for ease of use although not as strong as those for adults, plus the surface area of the blade is ideal for a child to pull.
The Gremlin is a light kayak paddle with single colour SF blades and glass fibre shaft. Overall, the paddle is shorter, the shaft narrower and the blades smaller. They are available for both right and left hand.
These high quality paddles are made in Scotland using an injection molding process and are highly recommended for children or small adults.
